“We recently decided to upgrade the landscaping around our home since we have been here 16 years and outside of replacing a few plants here and there everything was the original. We contacted Dan Alf with Outdoor Enhancements and requested a design and quote to address this project. Dan responded quickly to our inquiry and scheduled an appointment to come to our home, walk the property and see what we had in mind, what our budget was, and when we were looking to have the work completed. Dan spent most of the morning looking walking around our home with us, listening to our wish list, and answering all of our questions. Within a few days Dan supplied a sketch, list of plants he suggested for each area, and total cost of the project. After reviewing his proposal and comparing it to others we had received, we decided to proceed with Dan. Within the week Dan and his men were here, removed all of the old plants and shrubs, added new soil to all of the beds, planted all of the new plants, trimmed all the remaining plants and palm trees and mulched all of the beds completely around the house. In addition, Dan and his men installed lighting around the the entire house and in our enclosed pool area to enhance the new landscaping, and existing plants, trees and shrubs. This really set the entire house off at night and gave us much more of the upscale, beautiful appearance we were looking for when we started. Dan and his men surely did a wonderful job and far exceeded our expectations. If there was anything I wish Dan would have done that he didn't, I would have liked for him to have followed up at some point in the evening when it was dark to fine tune the landscaping lighting to be sure we were getting the maximum effect since the lights were installed in the daylight. Also, since all of the plants were young and new to us, after two months of Florida summer weather, they have all grown like wildfire and overtaken the beds. A follow up from Dan to come and instruct us how to trim and maintain the appearance now that they are full grown would have helped tremendously. A final note, all the plants Dan supplied were extremely healthy, hearty and top quality.”

“Update: I just had Outdoor Enhancements back for a new chapter in my landscape since last year, adding a stone border around their original landscaping job. It turned out beautiful, and the process was seamless. Thanks to Doug, who helped me visualize and also helped select the best materials. The crew arrived promptly and did a most professional job. Finishing involved adding mulch around current plants, some that were more delicate flowering types, and not a plant was damaged. The price for this quality of work was excellent. Since the installation of my landscape 6 months ago, I have had daily pleasure watching it transform into exactly what I had hoped for. Other companies were not able to understand my goals, but Dan spent the time and really talked to me and sketched ideas until we reached a great plan together. The company has a crew that really knows what they are doing. Special thanks to Doug whose efforts added to the great outcome.. They installed two sizable cabbage palms, along with shrubs and flowering plants. The job transformed what had been a monotonous stretch of grass, adding dimension and vitality to the yard. The area is planted entirely with species obtained from a local native plant nursery. Dan was able to suggest many of the species, though natives aren’t his most common request. I added others from my knowledge and desire to feed wildlife and pollinators. Within a couple months I had many butterflies and some new bird species visiting, and expect my yard will be a magnet for the fall migrants.”

Dan spent about 15 minutes walking around the site [still filled with the residue of recent construction]. It’s been 4 months and I have to say it’s been easy to maintain with my dog - he adapted to it immediately and clean up is easy. They had to remove and rearrange pavers and rock. Crew did great job.
